Discover Newport was a dream project for our team… An opportunity to work close to home with a tight-knit group of friends and collaborators, and reach for the cinematic imagery we find ourselves dreaming about.
This concept was rooted in the idea of a moving photo album. Something that felt Authentic. Nostalgic. Personal. A process that sought out the highlights of each day; be it a small moment or a beautiful landscape, the focus was always as much about the setting as it was the cast. Our visuals prioritized each subject existing in their setting rather than seeking preplanned performances. This approach create a feeling that these vignettes might be part of a much bigger narrative.
More than anything, we hoped to convey a real love for America’s small towns and capture the beauty in the mundane. As neighbors to the wonderful town of Newport, we wanted each scene feel like a photograph - a permanent impression of what this wonderful region has to offer.
