As of late, run clubs have been sweeping America’s urban areas. They’ve served as a means to promote post-pandemic socialization and remain an extremely powerful tool for self-actualization. These groups place emphasis on inclusion, positivity, and most importantly, fun.
For this project, our goal was to connect with runners of all ability levels through a language they knew best — authentic, short-form, social media videos. This series, led by runner and activist Jenna Crawford documented three distinctly different run clubs, who shape the LA running community and create space for people of all backgrounds.
Through social-first storytelling, we sought to showcase joy, and encourage participation in the great sport of running.

ADAM TALAN - LOS, ANGELES
Adam is a multifaceted artist and outdoor enthusiast originally from Los Angeles. He started working in storyboarding and animation before transitioning into production in the music video world and eventually making films in the outdoor space which had been a passion of his since a young boy. At the same time was the art director for one of the most influential skateboarding brands Baker Skateboards. His influences for running and cycling were never directly from the mainstream and his goal in working in the outdoor space is to make films and tell stories that look and feel nothing like what the industry has put out and provide a real look into the people and communities that are under or now misrepresented.
